• RAISE 3 MILLION NT DOLLARS IN DISASTER RELIEF TO HUALIEN EARTHQUAKE
First Steamship Company (2601) turned profitable last year (2017) - earning 213 million(NTD) in the first three quarters and EPS 0.43. The Group CEO Jerry Kuo has decided to assemble his investment business to donate 3 million NT dollars for disaster relieffor of Hualien Earthquakes in February 6, 2018.
The 3 million NT dollars includes NT$200,000 from TESC (TW.8476), HK$200,000 from Summit Ascent Holdings Ltd.(0102.HK), NT$600,000 from SMT(HK.486), NT$750,000 from FSC(TW.2601)and NT$750,000 from Grand Ocean(TW.5907). The Summit Ascent Holdings Ltd.(0102.HK) was donated to Taiwan Health and Welfare Ministry foreign currency account.

WenChuan earthquake, which measured at 7.9 on the Richter scale, occured on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 02:28PM local time. The epicenter was 80 km west-northwest of ChengDu, the capital of SiChuan. The earthquake was felt as far away as BeiJing(1,500 km away) and ShangHai(1,700 km away), where office buildings swayed with the tremor. The earthquake was also felt in nearby countries. With over 60,000 people feared dead in the event, hundreds thousands more injured, and millions more living in the affected area, who's lives are disrupted by the disaster, it is the most severe earthquake in China since TanShan earthquake over 25 years ago.
